Rules

We are guests of Experience Island and we intend to make DARE a yearly returning event. It’s up to all of us to make sure we can make this happen. Here are some rules for the use of the tracks. If you don’t follow these rules your trail pass wrist band + sticker will be removed and you will be removed from the trail.

DARE is NOT a RACE! Enjoy the tracks and hone your skills in the sand but keep in mind that you are out there with many other riders with different levels of experience.

RULES OF THE ROAD MUST BE FOLLOWED! We ride on the right (for those from the UK 😉 Overtaking on the left only and only when it is safe to do so! Don’t create dangerous situations when overtaking.

SLOW DOWN at TWO WAY SECTIONS There are some sections with two way traffic. Take it easy here and ride slowly.

NO BURNOUTS/STUNTING! Behave yourself and don’t act like a hooligan. No burnouts, revlimiter bumping or crazy stunts. You know the drill…if not, we will take you off the trail and you won’t get back on.

HELP EACH OTHER! The camaraderie among adventure riders is one of the things that makes this community so special. If someone drops his or her bike, help out if needed and if it is safe to do so. Park your bike on the side of the trail while helping another rider. You may even be able to give them some advice so they too can get better in the sand. Don’t forget to take some pictures before lending a hand 😉

RESPECT the MARSHALS! Our team of Marshals(with orange vests) is volunteering their time to make sure everyone is safe on the tracks. Follow their directions at all times.

The Marshals will use the following flags for communication:

YELLOW FLAG: CAUTION! Ride slowly! This may be the case when a rider crashed or is laying behind a hill where you can’t see them.

RED FLAG: DANGER! SECTION STOPPED! This part of the track is temporarily closed due to an incident or too much traffic on the specific section.

CHECKERED FLAG: The Finish flag will be used when we are at the end of a session. Please finish your loop and go back to the Trail Pass Parking lot ASAP.

DON’T RIDE ON THE GRASS! Experience Island would like to keep the grass intact for future events so it’s only allowed to ride on the ashpalt roads/dirt trails.

NO ALCOHOL! While you are using the track you can’t consume any alcohol. Anyone found drinking and riding will be removed from the track. Please take other rider’s safety seriously. There is plenty of time to enjoy a beer in the evening.

NO LOUD EXHAUSTS! Experience Island has sound restrictions. We have to respect those restrictions. Make sure your exhaust is street legal (DB KILLER MUST BE INSTALLED!) as the Marshals will not allow you on the track otherwise.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, you are NOT Pol Tarres! Enjoy your ride and have fun on the tracks but let’s make sure we can enjoy that beer together on the beach tonight!
